Our favorite festival, Punk Rock Holiday is around the corner. This Monday, our team will drive right into the Slovenian town of Tolmin for 5th time in a row. It feels like a deja-vu as not much has changed around since we first attended in 2014. The Soca river still flows, the supermarket has delicious Pizza and PRH has still the best lineup.

This year, we're bringing extra socks, and changing our position. You'll be able to find us right at the left side of the entrance. Just follow the flags!

Many asked about the acoustic gigs. YES, we host the Acoustic Stage this year too. Every afternoon, the coolest bands will perform live straight in your face. No barriers just acoustic punk-rock. Find below the timings and slots.

Among other activities:

Gaming Zone with all classic games: Street Fighter II, Mario Kart 64, Metal Slug X....! Travel back to the 90's. Open ALL DAY.

Karaoke with all the songs in the world! Show your skills and be the star. Every night at 22:10

@8llunatica8 is doing an English summer course and @mariafrnandez comes to breaks to spend some time with her. On Monday they went to a coffee shop and ate a pink cupcake. It was delicious! On wednesday they went for a walk in Barcelona and bought some iced tea. Laura wears the Tsunami and Troublemaker of the Signature Series.

Are you ready to see the Fireball? 

Fireball is the latest American Socks model and a design created by Diego Jimenez. He tells us a little more about the design below.

-Diego, what inspired you to make this amazing design?

+ I mainly wanted to be inspired by skulls with fire, it seemed like a great idea to present this style of illustration. Thinking that socks are a piece of decoration that is attached to the body. Also taking into account in American Socks style with those colors and finishes with a lot of power and attract attention even from afar. I felt that I could contribute from my art.

Stay Cool is the new American Socks design by illustrator and graphic designer Vinicius Gut. A colorful and perfect design to give a special touch to your look.

Vinicius explains that his greatest source of inspiration for the design was the design of skates and vintage characters.

From May 8 to 11 we were at the REC.0 2019 festival located in Igualada (Barcelona). We transported all our socks to a stand that we assembled at the festival so that you could enjoy all the fun with us.

Last week we went for a walk in Barcelona with our two girls @itsxjudd and @clairehepburn and the photographer @mariafrnandez. On the way to Arc del Triomf we went through a bar and had a couple of cafes. To accompany the look of each one they wore Rocks n'Roses and Yamato socks from the Signature Series collection.

It was our second stop of the American Rocks Tour 2019 and it could not be more amazing! Two intense days in which we sang, we socked with everyone and you spent a great time with us.

No coneixes el REC? Rec.0 Experimental Stores és la transformació efímera d’un vell barri industrial, el barri del Rec, a Igualada. Dues vegades l’any, i només durant quatre dies, les velles fàbriques i adoberies es converteixen en pop up stores de moda on marques de primer nivell hi venen els seus estocs i mostraris a preus únics.

3. Explora el Barri del REC

Igualada és una ciutat amb un ric passat industrial. Durant segles, les seves fàbriques tèxtils i les adoberies situades al barri del Rec van ser autèntics motors econòmics. A mitjans del segle XX va arribar la decadència i aquells edificis imponents, poc a poc, van ser abandonats. Avui se’ns fa encara més evident l’esplèndid patrimoni arquitectònic que van deixar aquells anys de progrés: un barri sencer que, malgrat el temps, conserva una atmosfera particular que el fa especial.

4. Gastronomía: Rec Street Food

El Rec Street Food és el festival gastronòmic de menjar de carrer que complementa el Rec.0 Experimental Stores. Compta amb la boja quantitat de 41 food trucks espacialment seleccionats per representar diferents cultures i gustos. Qui no menja al REC, no menja enlloc!

 

5. Surt de Casa!

La previsió meteorológica es favorable, aixi que no hi ha cap excusa per no sortir de casa. Una activitat apte per a families, parelles i amics/gues.

 

Who does not want some colorful cereals American style? Today we have taken our model @evagfernandez together with our photographer @mariafrnandez to do a shoot at El Flako Corn Flakes & Co in Barcelona. 

Eva ordered a full bun of Froot Loops and Fruity Pebbles decorated with cloud and strawberry ice cream! To complete a glass of pink milk. This was our visit to the place. Showing the Freak Banana socks from the Signature Series collection, the McFly socks from the Mig High collection and finally the TurquoiseNoise from the Knee High collection.

To finish the walk we ended up taking some pictures in the street. This time Eva was wearing Wisemonkeys socks from the Signature Series collection.

The good weather begins in Barcelona and it's a blast to walk around Barceloneta to enjoy the sun, good company and a couple of juices. From the Signature Series collection we will see the Alchemy Chimera, the Casablanca, the Bondi Beach, the Snake Eater, the Skater Skull and the Mid High collection the BlueNoise, the Not My President. 

 

In the hands of the photographer @mariafrnandez and with the models @ghenn_lovegood, @xgece.13 and @toni_inkfected we achieved an incredible result by teaching the lifestyle that we associate with our socks. Different colors, styles to combine with any of your favorite looks for this spring/summer 2019.

We are proud and stoked to announce the Festival Season 2019!
The American Socks teams are getting ready to hit the road, pack up loads of socks and bring them straight to the coolest and biggest events around Europe. 

BIGGER EQUALS BETTER. Starting this Friday in Belgium, we'll be attending 22 events in 10 different countries. We couldn't miss our favorites like Punk Rock Holiday, FISE or Rock Am Ring and add some newcomers to the list like Slam Dunk (First time in the UK!) or Doctor Music Festival. This is going the be the biggest Sock tour EVER. Write it down Guinness World Records!

LET'S SOCK UP THE PARTY.  Wherever we go, we bring the party with us. Live Music, Gaming Zone, Giveaways, Karaoke and DJ sessions at selected events just so you don't get bored at any time. If you like to sing, dance and forget about everything, you're or kind of Socker! :)

Did you really think we'd forget?

This year let's unite for a cause bigger than us.
It does not matter if you're a Punker, a Metalhead or a Hardcore Kiddo, let's build a BIG WALL (of death) and celebrate Groezrock is back for REAL. As usual, we're bringing back the "Groezsock" for everyone who wants to take a souvenir home. It will only be available on the festival ground and there are few units, so don't wait last minute.

What can we say About Groezrock? American Socks, first appeared at the festival Market in 2013. We were a smaller brand and with only 6 different products (all knee highs). There were no plans, we just packed up and drove up north with a really simple set up, few chairs and a table. 
Back then we didn't imagine how this festival would shape the brand during the forthcoming years. In 2016 we debuted at the festival field with the Acoustic Stage concept with acts like GOB, Frank Turner or the Mad Caddies.We even did a collaboration release: the Groezsock. Everything was wonderful until BOOM. When the news hit, all the team got sad. A festival season without Groezrock is sour. 

1. The BIG boy is BACK in the game.

2018 was a sad year. Papa Groez announced that he was going to take a sabbatical and step back with an indoor edition to come back stronger than ever. After so many years, it's logical that the organization had to charge batteries to keep going. Good news is that this 2019 we have our personal "mecca" back in the game and ready to take over once again the frontline of the festival season.

2. Lineup is SICK.

Too much is never enough! 90 bands across 5 stages is all you need to satisfy your live music addiction. With many exclusive acts and big names like JAWBREAKER, DROPKICK MURPHYS, MILLENCOLIN, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, BOWLING FOR SOUP, NECK DEEP, COMEBACK KID, AUTHORITY ZERO, COUNTERPARTS...it's nearly impossible you get bored the weekend of April 26th and 27th.

3. Location is (almost) HEAVEN.

Forget those festivals with dusty air or concrete floors. Meerhout is a rural village and the festival erects on a grassy field where you can lay down between gigs and breathe some pure air. Supermarkets and other facilities are super close. When you're having a siesta, remember you're a foreigner. Cows are the landlords there and after the storm, the land is returned to them. Grass is precious!

4. Price is ridiculous. BANG for your BUCK!

7. FOOD court is delicious.

8. 100% Punk Rock & Hardcore since 1992.

For over 2 decades the festival has been alive, just because it didn't happen in 2018 it does not mean you should stop attending. This guys know what they are doing and live for music, just as much as you do. 
It ain't easy. There's a LOT of work behind the curtain and a lot of volunteers will be there so you can have the best Punk-Rock vacation ever. Choose Groez.

9. Move YOUR BODY at the afterparties.

There's always music at the afterparties with DJ's that will rock the hell out of hits to make you dance and sing. Still don't know the acts, but the bookers at Groez will figure out the best for you. If your friends go sleep early and you're by yourself, join the American Socks crew and let's crash the area. We'll be there to sock together!

10. A FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE you won't forget.

Experiences are priceless, how cool is to pack up your coolest clothes, grab your sleeping bag and head to Belgium with your best friends to have, possibly, one of the best weekends of the year? Go crazy, forget about problems and support live music right in the heart of Europe.
